We are seeking for an intern to join our gallery team by the beginning of April 2013. We ask for a 3 months minimum commitment, with possibility for extension to six months, 2.5 days a week (one day of which will be Saturday).

We are looking for a resourceful, committed, and highly organized individual to provide support to the gallery team in all aspects of the gallery’s operations. The candidate must be reliable, energetic, friendly, communicative within the team as well as with the gallery’s clients, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The applicant should either be pursuing a degree in photography, art history, or a related creative field, ideally currently a student or a recent graduate looking to make vital first steps within the gallery/art business. The interest in photography and contemporary art, and similarly excellent German as well as good English are a must, as well as proficiency in Mac, Microsoft Office and Photoshop and the possession of a laptop.

Tasks will include, but not be limited to: administrative duties, general operations, inventory maintenance, research, and specialized gallery projects including working on exhibitions and being present at events and openings. This position provides excellent exposure to the inner-workings of a gallery for anyone truly interested in a career in the arts.
